Sister organizations Rockynol and Senior Independence are partnering to host a hiring event on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rockynol's Carrell Center located at 1275 W. Exchange St., Akron, OH 44313.

Hospice Chaplain Dan Tayman from Senior Independence Home Health and Hospice was nominated for Senior Advocate of the Year by the team at Senior Independence for his efforts through the years advocating for the senior population. He has dedicated countless hours outside the "call of duty" to offer his time, energy, and resources to ensure that others have an improved quality of life.

Westminster-Thurber Community, a non-for-profit continuing care retirement community, will host a hiring event on Monday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 717 Neil Ave., Columbus, OH 43215. Westminster-Thurber is currently seeking LPN, RNs, and STNAs to work with older adults in a warm, fun and caring environment. They also have server, cook, and maintenance positions available.

Effective July 1, Renner will begin additionally supporting Senior Independence Home Health and Hospice, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OPRS.

O'Connor's appointment is part of a restructuring to better serve seniors' current and future needs in Ohio and throughout the nation.
